NUMBER ONE BIRTHDAY CAKE

So it was my friend's baby's birthday few weeks back and of course she already told me I was gon make his cakes. We decided to make two cake but making the perfect choice was quite hard. We finally decided to make a number one cake and a spongebob square pants  cake.

so i covered the coconut cake in green fondant on the board

i piped green grass with royal icing using betty crocker grass tip and made a mini pond out of white and blue royal icing.

using the duck cookie cutter, I cut out ducks from yellow fondant and handpainted the details.

added other details and of course, covered all angles of the board.

And she loveddd it ! ;) :) :)

Running a cake business in Nigeria is hard  but having lived in lagos all my life, i can say running a cake business in porthacourt is worse (cost wise).

Generally, cost of living in porthacourt cannot be compared to lagos, but at least one is sure to get a variety of goods And services. Business wise, I had a lot of challenges getting a variety of cake decorating tools and that led to so much frustration on my part…….. Well until I found double rose and cavos cake shops.

Once i find my way around blogger,I’ll post tutorials And tips to assist other upcoming bakers like myself .  :)
